The Festival dei Due Monde is an annual summer opera and music festival in Spoleto, Italy. Since its inception in 1958, the festival has brought joy to Spoleto every June. The festival’s founder, Gian Carlo Menotti, was an award-winning, Italian-American composer. His vision for an incredible performing arts festival is preserved in the American version of the Italian festival at Piccolo Spoleto USA. Founded in 1979, the Charleston-based festival pays homage to its predecessor while promoting the latest advancements in American opera, orchestra, and other fine arts!
