Kiawah Island’s Beachwalker County Park is located at 8 Beachwalker Drive and is open to the public daily from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm. If you frequent the beach early enough, you may spot a volunteer for the Turtle Patrol, a group of people who monitor the nests and mark them so that beachgoers know not to harm the space. In addition to these adorable sea creatures, you will certainly spot several types of native birds, including herons and marsh sparrows, and it’s likely you may catch a glimpse of a passing dolphin.
